My uncle is a musician with one of the big orchestras in Vienna. Whenever their concerts or operas are not sold out, the musicians get tickets for free or super cheap. So I am always on stand-by for a phone call from my uncle telling me that I will go to a concert that night or the next day or so.  This is a lot of fun, because I can’t be picky. I go see whatever I get tickets for. Which is actually not too bad for someone like myself who can’t make decisions anyway.  A couple of days ago, one such occasion brought us to the Musikverein; yes, the famous one, where the Philharmonics play their New Year’s concert. This time we didn’t go to the fancy golden hall, but the concert took place in a smaller, more modest one – as you can see. Not fancy at all…
